Welcome to another Imagine If Blog Hop. This week we have mini chipboard houses and a church, they are so cute (but you’ll have to get them at SENZ or wait until then for them to be on the website)! If you have come from Katrina’s Little Farm, welcome. If you want to start at the beginning you can visit Jo and her Christmas Scene.
I love little houses, I have a row of them on my studio windowsill. But I decided these would be cute as bird houses.
I started by making up the houses using paper and the chipboard sections, and their roofs. Once the houses, church and steeple were dry, I added some ink to the corners, and I painted the little windows and fences white. I then added the windows to the houses with some Glossy Accents for the glazing. I used a piece of a kebab skewer for the perches and added the felt birds using foam tape.
I had DH cut the wooden base to size for me, and we headed to the hardware shop for a piece of dowel. Once everything was cut, I used hot glue to attach the little houses to the dowel and then to the base.
Then I got out my paper flowers and created a little garden at the base, along with a flower on each bird house.
I’m so happy with this new take on mini houses!
Your next stop on the hop is Carol with her Island Getaway. And again we have a competition- so comment on the blogs to get entries. Congratulations to Debbie Groot who won the Merry-go-round draw, and to Tricia Collins who won the draw for last week.
