This year has gone flying by – I can’t believe it is Christmas already, nor that it is so long since I blogged!
For a small gift for some friends, I decided to create some pillow boxes and make some fudge to put in them.
I started out with some clear sheets of acetate, and cut the Pillow Box using a Tim Holtz Sizzix Die. This die cuts and scores for me.
After cutting the pillow boxes out, I masked the edge then stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and StazOn ink for the front of the boxes. My ‘theme’ for Christmas this year has been ornaments, so this stamp fit in well with this.
They needed a ‘back’ so I used the die, and cut out some grey card in the shape of one side – I did need to cut along scorelines, but that was easy.
I wrapped the fudge in cellophane (see my cooking blog, Beth’s Kitchen, for the recipe), and slipped it into the pillow boxes. To finish it off, I added some Christmas coloured twine in a bow – the perfect little gift.
