16 NovDecember Daily 2015

It is that time of year again – getting my December Daily ready! This year I’ve chosen to use Simple Stories Claus & Co range, a lovely clean colour range. I did an Album-in-a-Day class with Vicki Boutin, and I used some of the techniques I learned with her. And I matched with with Barn Door and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.

I loved red on the spine, so decided to build on this. I used a tag and banner shaped page, with the edges inked, I added two ribbons tied around the cover, and then a ‘Joy’ card and cut the ’25 Days of December’ card into a circle, added the ‘2015’ and mounted with foam tape. I finished off with some stickers: Christmas lights (one of my favourite things!), presents and stars. To add some bling I used Distress Stickles and Enamel Dots.

On the inside cover I used a December calendar card, some stickers and doilies.

The first page inside is from the Journal Pages, a folded page that has ‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year’ on the front and a December calendar inside. I used one of the cards to create the ‘To Do’ list and mounted each square with foam mount.

I put the cards into each of the pocket pages, giving most days a double spread (some days I know I have more planned so gave extra days. I will be using my Instax Share Printer, so will need cards in all pockets, and adding journaling and stickers as I go.

On the pages that came from the Journal Pages, I’ve created flaps and pockets.

Another of Journal Pages is a ‘December Documented’ double page, taking some snapshots of this December.

So my book is ready for the 1st of December, with stickers (both alphabet and pictures), a plan for the month, and a whole lot of good intentions! Keep an eye on my Facebook Page and I’ll (try) and update with pictures of the finished layouts.
