I’ve continued my mini house creating in a Christmas theme! First I made a little Peppermint House, a variation on a Gingerbread House.
I used red striped paper as the base of the house wall colour and then added window frames and candy canes painted with stripes and covered with Glossy Accents, and I covered the round peppermints with Glossy Accents too. The edges of the house, base, roof tiles and door were all inked in red. I finished off the house with a red Christmas tree.
I then moved on to a Christmas Cottage and Church. Both of these buildings I used wooden patterned paper for the sides and painted corrugated card for the roofs.
I added some Christmas garlands and bows (Glossy Accent on the bows) all around each building, and a wreath on the front of each door. I put a Christmas tree in the church yard and on the cottage veranda.
On roof of the cottage I added Santa and his reindeer.
I decided for both of these to not attach the building to the base so I could add a small electric tealight inside which gives a glow through the windows! (Just make sure you don’t use the ‘candle effect’ ones and make your house look like it is fire!)
I love these little houses, and my Christmas visitors enjoyed them too.
