We have another Imagine If… Blog Hop today, more Christmas Trees, and some special Christmas projects. If you’vee come from Tash’s Christmas Tree Blog then you’re in the right place, and you can start at the beginning at the Imagine If…Blog. I’ve made a few Jacob’s Ladder books in the past, but not for a while, and I suddenly had this idea to create a ‘Merry Christmas’ one.
I had some instructions as to how to make a book which I adapted for the increased number of pages. I cut all the main pages out of chipboard, and cut the ribbon lengths, and I used some lovely Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers I had (Berry Frost, Snow Globe, and Powdered Sugar), and cut pages for both sides of the chipboard.
For the letters, I printed on the back of the paper, printing mirror image, and I was then able to hand cut them without any lines showing on the right side.
I had some blank pages on the ‘MERRY’ side of the book, perfect for some Imagine If… Christmas chipboard. For the front cover I used one of the trees from Set 2 Mini Xmas Trees. I coloured with Distress Stains then added some Distress Stickle ornaments.
The second page is from the Holly Set, also coloured with Distress Stains.
For the last two pages I used a large candle, and a Present, I used the metallic Distress Stains on these as well as the colours.
This is such a fun project, and I love that it includes a message too!
