This month at Southern Girls Challenge we have an ‘Anything Goes’ theme, so I continued with my scrapbooking of childhood photos with a couple of pictures of me painting with a friend when I was 9 months (I’ve been doing this whole art and craft thing for a while!).
I started out by dripping Distress Spray Stain from the top of a white piece of card, adding water to get the drips. I stuck to primary colours as I felt this was appropriate for two small children and the yellow went well with the yellow aprons.

In order to keep the same colours, I used my Distress Stains to colour some white card yellow for the photo mats and the title.
I finished this off with stitching in the red and blue to tidy the edges and make it all stand out.

I love the texture that stitching on my layouts gives, and I feel it reflects me somewhat too! A couple of tips if you want to try this:
- Pierce the holes first so you know you have an even stitch, use a template if you want.
- Make sure whatever you are stitching around is stuck down firmly at the edges, otherwise the stitching and handling will cause them to lift and you won’t get a neat row.
Thank you for checking out my layout, don’t forget to see what the other DT members at SGC have been up to.

This is darling!!! What a fun memory page!! Great colors! I linked up for the first time at the SGC. I found you through Maxine!
Such a gorgeous layout Beth. Love the painterly dribbles. Love the stitched details too. Gorgeous layout hun. Hugs, Wends xoxo
